If you see the text "FW FOUND" on your player's front panel display when you first turn it on, the player is informing you that there is a firmware upgrade available to download and install. Pressing the Enter button on the remote control will begin the installation process, and you should see the front panel display count up from "FW 0%" to "FW 100%" to indicate the status of the installation. Once the installation is complete, the player will power itself off.

The player will automatically check for firmware upgrades when it is powered on and when the Firmware Notification setting in Device Setup is set to On.

In many cases, the OPPO player will be connected to a display and there will be an onscreen prompt indicating that a firmware upgrade is available.

However, if you do not have your OPPO player connected to a display and it detects that there is a firmware upgrade available, you will not be able to see the onscreen prompt and it may appear as though the player has become unresponsive. In this case, you should see "FW FOUND"  displayed on the player's front panel display, and pressing the Enter button will initiate the firmware upgrade.
